Abbott's high-throughput Architect chemistry analyzer, rebuilt Down-To-Frame® to original specification. Cost up to 70% below new, with financing from $0 down.
The Abbott Architect c8000 runs photometric, turbidimetric and ICT electrolyte testing at up to 1,200 tests an hour, from 215 samples and up to 121 refrigerated reagent positions. It shares its software, sample carriers and reagent cartridges with every Architect analyzer. Buy it refurbished from Diamond and you pay up to 70% less than new for an analyzer rebuilt to the frame.
The c8000 measures photometric, turbidimetric and potentiometric assays on one floor-standing analyzer, controlled from Abbott's System Control Center. It loads samples two ways, through the Robotic Sample Handler and through a sample carousel. Abbott uses identical technology, reagents and assay protocols across the Architect family, so a c8000 reports results equivalent to any other Architect chemistry analyzer.
The c8000 runs up to 1,200 tests an hour from a 215-sample load. That puts it between the Architect c4000 at 800 and the Architect c16000 at 1,800, and just below the Alinity c at 1,350.
The c8000's rating counts each sodium, potassium and chloride result from the ICT module as a test, so your real hourly output depends on how much of your menu is electrolytes.

The c8000 works as a standalone chemistry analyzer. Join it to an Architect i2000SR and the pair becomes a ci8200, running chemistry and immunoassay from one System Control Center.
Standalone c8000. Run up to 1,200 chemistry tests an hour from 215 samples and up to 121 refrigerated reagent positions.
Architect ci8200. Run up to 1,400 tests an hour, 1,200 chemistry and 200 immunoassay, with 365 samples and 146 refrigerated reagent positions onboard.
Your analyzer plus a refurbished partner. Already own an i2000SR or a c8000? We'll supply and install the other half of the ci8200.
A second c8000 for redundancy. Put a second c8000 beside the one you run, so chemistry keeps going during maintenance or a repair. Both take the same reagent cartridges and sample carriers.

The c8000 measures 122 cm (48 in) tall, 201 cm (79 in) wide and 125 cm (49 in) deep, about 26.9 sq ft of floor, and weighs 646 kg (1,425 lb). A ci8200 extends the run to 323 cm (127 in) wide, so reserve that width if you expect to add an i2000SR.

Send us your room layout and utilities, and we'll confirm the c8000 fits before you commit.
The c8000 fits labs that need up to 1,200 chemistry tests an hour and want to stay on Architect.
Hospital core labs on Architect. Add or replace chemistry capacity on the platform your methods and staff already run.
Labs outgrowing a c4000. Gain 400 tests an hour without changing software, reagent cartridges or sample carriers.
Labs replacing an older Architect chemistry analyzers. Swap in a rebuilt unit and keep the workflows your techs know.
Labs that need a backup chemistry analyzer. Keep testing while your main Architect analyzer is down for maintenance or repair.
Labs shopping for a used c8000. Compare any used unit with one rebuilt to the frame, installed by our engineers and eligible for our field service plans.
New c8000 systems are sold through contracts, often inside a reagent agreement that spreads the analyzer's cost over your per-test pricing. Diamond prices each refurbished c8000 individually, because year of manufacture and configuration vary from unit to unit. Whichever one fits your lab, you pay up to 70% less than new and own it outright.
Used c8000s also come up for sale through brokers, auctions and lab closures. Before you compare a used unit's price with a refurbished one, add what it will cost you to get the used unit reporting patient results.
Every refurbished c8000 from Diamond is decontaminated, rebuilt with new wear parts, calibrated and validated with multi-level QC before it leaves our facility. Our engineers then install it and verify your assays on site.
We rebuild the c8000, install it in your lab and service it afterward, with our own engineers at every stage.

We're registered with the FDA, and our facilities in the US and the EU are certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016. ISO 13485 is the quality management standard medical device manufacturers work to, and an outside registrar audits us against both.
Our engineers set up the c8000, program your assays and verify them in your lab. After installation, your operators can take on-site training on the instrument and menu, adding parameters, preventive maintenance and first-line troubleshooting, with an hour of Q&A at the end.
Moving off an older Architect or another chemistry system? We'll buy it and credit its value toward your c8000. Our team handles the deinstallation, decontamination, pickup and freight, so the old analyzer leaves your lab without a disposal bill.
Every c8000 we sell is eligible for our field service plans, and so is any c8000 we qualify, wherever you bought it.
Up to 1,200 tests an hour from a 215-sample load, counting photometric, turbidimetric and ICT electrolyte results.
Abbott prices a new c8000 by contract, often inside a reagent agreement. A refurbished c8000 from Diamond costs up to 70% less than new. We price each unit individually, based on its year of manufacture, whether you buy it standalone or as a ci8200, and which services you add.
A used c8000's condition depends on the seller, so ask about decontamination, replaced wear parts, current QC results and who will install and service it. A refurbished c8000 from Diamond is rebuilt to the frame with new wear parts, calibrated and QC-validated, then installed and verified by our engineers and eligible for our field service plans.
The c4000 tops out at 800 tests an hour and holds 100 samples. The c8000 reaches 1,200 tests an hour with 215 samples and up to 121 reagent positions. Both run identical Architect software, reagents and assay protocols.
The c16000 runs up to 1,800 tests an hour on the same 79 x 49 in footprint, with up to 130 reagent positions. It also uses up to 54 L of water an hour, against about 25 L for the c8000.
The Alinity c is Abbott's current chemistry platform, running up to 1,350 tests an hour on about 15 sq ft, with the option to add modules. The c8000 keeps you on Architect, with the results, reagents and training your lab already has.
Yes. We pair a refurbished i2000SR with your c8000 and install them together as a ci8200, which runs up to 1,400 tests an hour.
On certain tests, yes, where your methods allow. Ask us which tests on your menu qualify.
AC power at 180 to 264 V and 47 to 63 Hz on a 20 A circuit, plus about 25 L (6.6 gal) of deionized water an hour.
Lease or finance up to $2 million with $0 down and low introductory payments. A credit application alone covers up to $400,000, and shipping can go into the financed amount.
Yes. We buy the analyzer you're replacing, credit its value toward your c8000, and handle deinstallation, decontamination, pickup and freight.
Yes. Our engineers install it and program and verify your assays before you run patient samples. On-site operator training is available after installation.
Yes. Once we qualify it, it's eligible for the same field service plans as the c8000s we sell.
Yes. Reagents and consumables for the c8000 are available through Diamond Diagnostics.
