You’ve had bad experiences with laboratory equipment services companies before

We have too. Before launching our laboratory equipment services across the country, we made sure every step of your partnership with us would be worry-free.

You’re worried about the potential cost of repairs, including parts and labor.

Our goal is to be fair. We manufacture many replacement parts ourselves, which keeps your costs down. We keep your service technician local, so you aren’t paying for lavish travel. And we want to work with you for a long time, so we price everything at a level to support a long-term partnership.

You’re worried about whether your lab equipment repair technician has the expertise to properly diagnose and fix the problem.

We don’t hire at the entry-level. Our technicians are sought after, and you’ll understand why after your first visit. You can find personal information about your local field service technician on this page.

You’re worried about whether the repair will be effective and long-lasting or if the problem will recur.

It’s in our interest to make sure your repair is done right. That’s how we maintain our relationships with labs. We treat your instruments as we would our own.

You’re worried about the possibility of delays due to unavailable parts.

We manufacture the parts ourselves. To a higher standard than the OEM in almost every case. Availability is never a concern.

You’re worried about the availability of support if issues arise after the repair.

You have a direct line to your field service technician. If an issue arises, you can text them. You will never be on your own with a lingering issue.

Why most labs prefer local, responsive laboratory equipment services

In most labs, unexpected downtime happens monthly with every out-of-warranty analyzer. It’s usually because of inadequate preventative maintenance, operator error, or ignoring standard operating procedures.

Daily maintenance was rushed or skipped.

Weekly maintenance was skipped because of higher-than-normal test volume.

An inexperienced operator tried to troubleshoot quietly, causing a larger problem.

An experienced operator was too casual with the routine they completed 1,000 time before.

Your on-site service engineer has no experience with the specific analyzer and can't troubleshoot.

No one will fess up, but someone didn't follow the SOP.

Know these events are likely and get prepared. Get Protected. Be Proactive!

Frequently asked questions about laboratory equipment services

Question

What types of analyzers do we service?

Answer
We service chemistry analyzers from all major manufacturers, and many smaller manufacturers. Our technicians specialize in Thermo Fisher, and Siemens analyzers, but spend about half their time working on other brands.

Question

What maintenance services do you offer?

Answer
We have 3 primary service plans. These are the Prepared, Protected, and Proactive plans. All plans include 1 preventative maintenance visit per year. Prepared plans do not include onsite visits (these are available at an added cost). Protected plans include a 48-hour onsite guarantee twice per year. And Proactive plans include a 24-hour onsite guarantee as many times as you need us. We also offer preventative maintenance and repairs anywhere in the country on a time and materials basis.

Question

Do you provide emergency repair services?

Answer
Yes. The cost of emergency repairs is significantly reduced by subscribing to a Proactive plan. But we will provide emergency repairs anywhere in the country on a time and material basis.

Question

How experienced are your technicians?

Answer
Very. We do not hire at the entry level. Our technicians typically have more than 8 years of field repair experience, often with the manufacturer of your equipment.

Question

Do you offer service contracts?

Answer
Yes. Most of our maintenance and repair visits are for customers on Prepared, Protected, and Proactive service plans. These are the best value for 9 out of 10 labs, and help keep budget expenditures predictable through the years.

Question

What regions do you service?

Answer
To maintain the guaranteed response times we set out in each service plan, we keep field service technicians in their local areas. Prepared service plans are available across the U.S. Protected plans are currently available in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia. South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Proactive plans are available in California and Florida.

Question

Do you offer remote support?

Answer
Yes! You’d be surprised by how many problems can be fixed over the phone. Many common problems have clear telltale signs. You might not know them, but our technicians spend all day working on analyzers showing those signs. We may be able to get your analyzer back up and running in just a few minutes over the phone.
